Multi-location bakery · Los Angeles

The holiday order rush, handled.

Pre-orders sort themselves into pickup schedules and production totals — even during the busiest week of the year.

The problem

One week's orders took days to sort by hand.

Thanksgiving week alone brought in hundreds of pre-orders across every location — pies, cakes, special requests — and sorting them into pickup-day schedules and a single bake list was a multi-day manual job every year, right when there was the least time to spare.

What I built

Every pre-order sorts itself the moment it's placed.

A script takes every pre-order as it comes in, builds a pickup schedule sorted by store and date, and rolls everything up into a single production sheet — so the commissary knows exactly what to bake and when, no matter how far out the order was placed.

How it works

From pre-order to pickup list, in four steps.

1

Pre-order comes in

A customer submits a holiday order and picks a pickup date and store.

2

Order gets scheduled

Apps Script logs it and slots it into that store's pickup-day schedule automatically.

3

Production totals roll up

Every order across every store rolls into one bake list, sorted by item and date.

4

Store gets its list

Each location gets a day-of pickup list, so nothing's missed at the counter.
